3000 women, 148 teams, and a lot of energy descended on Portmarnock Dublin on Saturday 16th September for the Gaelic Mothers and Others National Blitz. Our “All Ireland”. There were only 2 teams from all of Kerry, and Killarney Mothers and Others Legion represented their club and county well.
A day of great football (5 games, 5 wins), laughter, networking, friendships, costumes and socialising make this an event that just goes from strength to strength.
There are 540 Gaelic Mothers and Others clubs nationwide and what they represent within their clubs and areas is powerful. We at Killarney Mothers and Others Legion would like to thank our coaches Mike & Jason, our sponsors Eddie Rockets Killarney & DeBarra Health/Safety Consultants, to the group of women who started this 5 years ago, to the LGFA for an amazing initiative that keeps growing and to all the M&Os we have had the pleasure of playing in our own county and nationally. We’re aiming for international next !! 😉
