E.K.DIV.1 U14 FINAL
Killarney Legion 1-19 Glenflesk 0-12
Four in a row for the u14’s as they got the better of a competitive Glenflesk team. They needed to be as good as they were as St.Agathas upped the ante in the second half to narrow the gap to just a single point. However the Legion youngsters have shown a great team ethic all year and with William Shine,Séan O Leary and Donnchadh Warren to the fore they regained the advantage having weathered the storm.Critical to the win – and not for the first time this year – was the performance of goalie Aaron O Sullivan who pulled off three great saves at vital times.Kieran Pierce,Ethan O Neill and Patryk Komosa all caught the eye and rather tellingly three points from Matthew Horgan and Sam Benson when introduced proved to be decisive.Well done to all involved.
U16 BOYS
Killarney Legion 3-13 Austin Stacks 4-9
Another fine showing for the u16 boys as they defeated the Stacks to continue their good run in the Div.1 league.A slow start to the game gave little indication of the ding dong battle that ensued.Trailing going into the final stretch it took a serious effort by the Legion lads to overhaul their illustrious visitors, but with Niall McGillicuddy,Eoin O Sullivan,Peter O Sullivan and Cian O Leary all in top form and Christian Casey very alert on the breaking ball they added two late points to win the day.A side that shows great promise and very well managed and coached.
