Club Day Out A Resounding Success

Sunday night saw the club officially launch it’s first major fundraiser scheme in over 13 years at Randles showrooms on the Muckross Rd.The aim is to upgrade current facilities including the gymnasium and install floodlights on the pitches. The project is based on the National Lottery both Euromillions and Euromillion Plus draws that take place each week.Commencing on February 1st.2019 for €5.75 per week each private member of the syndicate will have 504 lines entered on their behalf for a 12 month period. Each member will get a full listing of the lines played on the particular Wednesday and Friday for the duration.Tickets are now available from club members so as the catch phrase goes ”if you’re not in – you can’t win”.

Verdict – a resounding success! Blessed by the weather gods with an almost perfect day upwards of 100 took to the lakes and mountains of Killarney to enjoy nature at it’s finest. With the unmatched experience and popular Donal ”Dux”O Donoghue as well as wife Breda at the helm the group were in the best of hands. An added bonus was the unscheduled stop on historic Inisfallen island,a first for many among the boats. There were no worries about getting home safe as Pat Moynihan and the Big Red Bus made sure that all were safely transported back to base from Kate Kearneys Cottage – the perfect end to the perfect day. Many thanks also to Timmy O Donoghue,Killarney Brewery for his generous support.Undoubtedly many more great days to follow.

Congratulations to the East Kerry minors on their fine win in the county final against St. Kierans. The club was well represented by Darragh Looney,Peter and Eoghan O Sullivan and caps a great year for Kieran O Donoghue and Darragh Lyne.
