The stage is now set for our O’Donoghue Cup quarter final against Fossa this Sunday. Throw-in is 2pm in Direen with the winners advancing to the semi finals which are played the following weekend . Kilcummin who defeated Rathmore this weekend now face Firies which is due to be played on Sunday. Spa, victorious over Gneeveguilla last Saturday, play Kenmare in the third quarter final with Dr Crokes already qualified for the last four

A fine crowd gathered in the Clubhouse on Friday night last as we celebrated our Annual Club Mass. On the night we remembered the following who had passed on to their eternal rest. Robbie O Brien, Brendan O Brien, John McGillycuddy, Tommy Cronin, Breda Walshe, Jamie Patrick Moynihan Lyne, Kathleen McAuliffe, Billy Kenny, Margaret Crowley, Claire Courtney, Jim O Brien, Catherine McAuliffe, Margaret Lynch, Tony Lawlor, Jerome Lyne, Mairead Healy and Danny O Leary. We must pass on our gratitude to all those who organised the Mass and provided refreshments after . Orla Culloty, Sharon O Grady, Claire Duke, Linda O Donoghue, David Randles, Ted Healy and Donal O Donoghue made sure everything ran off to a tee. We cannot let the occasion pass without thanking our celebrant Fr Mark Moriarty, one of our own, who revealed his own pride at being able to perform his duties on his own home turf. Friday was a day of double celebration as dad Brian received a Honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. Another string to his bow!!

Our club shop will be open every Tuesday, 6-7, Thursday, 6-7, and Sundays 6-7 up until Christmas. The shop has plenty of stock but don’t miss out to avoid disappointment. There will be running a Christmas Club weekly payments up until the 21st of December. For further details you can contact Sharon 0851605078 or Caroline 083 8915953 who are available at all times to open the shop on request.

Our ever active Mothers & Others gang made a great start to their Social Walking Group last  Tuesday. The initial walk was from the GlenEagle Hotel to the Killarney Cathedral and back, a trek of approx 5km and upwards of 15 joined in . The route will change weekly and the long term hope is that in the New Year to bring this on to a starter running group for those who wish to. This is open to Killarney Legion GAA Club associates that are not with Killarney Mothers and Others Legion and would like to join us. Only two little rules.1. Overs 18s only and 2. No pets.
Keep an eye on social media each week for the meeting points and routes.

Our neighbours in Ballydribeen Residents Association are planning towards a community playground in their area. As part of their efforts, they have teamed up with the Tesco Community fund to garner more assistance. Please keep an eye out when you’re shopping in Deerpark Tesco for both the Blue Tokens and Box and lend them any assistance you can!!
