GIRLS U14
Having lost their opening game against a very strong Rathmore team the Legion u14 girls took on Listowel Emmets in Round 2 of Div 2. of County League at Direen on Good Friday. After a slow start the Legion girls began to assert themselves on the game and went in at half time with a hard fought 4-7 to 4-2 lead. The break however didn’t break their rhythm as the girls started the second half as they finished the first and built up an unassailable lead and a tremendous victory resulted. In an excellent display of passing, movement and support play epitomised by some super scores, our U14 girls put up a hugely impressive score of 8-17 against a spirited and gallant Listowel team.Well done girls.
Next up is an away trip to Inbhear Sceine Gaels and no doubt they’ll travel with renewed confidence,go n-éiri leo.
