O DONOGHUE CUP
LADIES AGM
The Ladies Department of the club held its AGM on Friday night last. Chairman Ted Healy gave a comprehensive rundown of the affairs for the year highlighting the good playing numbers in the younger age groups while also stating that a watchful eye will have to be kept on the older groups as we tackle player fall out. Tributes were paid to all the ladies players who represented the club at both divisional board and inter county level. The year was deemed successful on the playing front but a s always the hunger for more should be present. Ted paid tribute to two outgoing officers who had stepped down. Oonagh Moynihan was a most conscientious Ladies Secretary who advanced the role no end , always lending great assistance to the chairman. Mike Doody was a very able wingman as Vice chairman of the branch , combining that role with his coaching and mentoring roles. Now the club is fortunate to have found two people to step up to replace Mike and Oonagh. Claire Duke will take up the secretary job , falling into her first role within the club while the familiar and reliable Shaun O Connor is now tasked as the vice chair. John Foran (Treasurer), Fiona Ni Chonchubhair (Registrar), Enda Walshe (PRO) and Linda O’Donoghue (Childrens Officer) have all remained in their various roles. Also great to see Mike Hanrahan back in the fold as the delegate to the Ladies County Board.
THOMAS MORIARTY
We would like to wish Thomas Moriarty as he heads down under this week for a spell. Thomas has been a mainstay of our Senior panel for the last 13 years and he will certainly be missed. Also a belated bon voyage to Luke O Donoghue, who departed our shores a few weeks back.

The hope is that in the New Year to bring this on to a starter running group for those who wish to. This is open to Killarney Legion GAA Club associates that are not with Killarney Mothers and Others Legion and would like to join us. Only two little rules.1. Overs 18s only and 2. No pets.
ALL STARS
Well done to the four Kerry players who picked up Football All Star awards at the weekend. The selection of the dynamic Clifford brothers, David and Paudie couldn’t be disputed and they were joined by Seanie O Shea and Dingle defender Tom O Sullivan. David also was a most worthy recipient of the Footballer of the Year, a gong picked up by our own James O Donoghue in a mercurial 2014
