Halftime: 0-08 to 0-02.
Gneeveguila shot out of the blocks in the second half, reducing the score to 0-09 to 0-05. This seemed to be the wake up call that we needed. Our lads upped the ante and were awarded a penalty after Tadhg Doolan was fouled by the keeper. Ryan O’Grady made no mistake and slotted home the ball. William Shine made a big impact when he was introduced while his under 14 teammate, Darragh Fleming made no mistake when he found himself unmarked at the back post, tapping in a perfectly floated cross. It was a good all round team performance with 7 different players getting on the scoresheet. The club would like to wish the young Gneeveguila player who got injured today a speedy recovery.
Final score: Legion 2-14 Gneeveguila 0-08.
We now meet Rathmore in the final.
