SENIOR MENS UPDATE
The Senior Men made it two from two in the County League with a hard earned win over Austin Stacks. A stiff breeze backing the Tralee side saw them lead 0-9 to 0-4 at half time but an early Darragh Lyne goal in the second half laid the foundations for the 1-10 to 0-12 win.
SENIOR LADIES
Our Senior Ladies team commenced their Donal Curtin Div 2 campaign at home to MKL Gaels in Direen. Short of a number of first team regulars this year, it was always going to be a difficult start. But they started the game well and went into an early lead 1-00 to 0-01 after 15 mins with full forward Eve Coffey finding the net. MKL came back and got a goal of their own plus a couple of points. Unfortunately Ciara Randles picked up what looked like a hamstring injury and this was another blow to the team. A couple of positional changes at half time definitely brought an improvement but scores proved difficult to come by. Eve Coffey once again finished to the net on either side of MKL points to narrow the deficit to just 2 points but the visitors kept the scoreboard ticking over with some well worked points to run out winners on a final scoreline of MKL 2-07 Legion 2-2.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS GAME
With Kerry in Munster Championship duty on Saturday April 22nd against either Waterford( to be played in Dungarvan) or Tipperary ( to be played in Fitzgerald Stadium) the hugely popular Primary schools games will also be hosted at half time in the game. And it’s great to see the Club well represented. Aitana Bowler (Lissivigeen NS) and Sophie O Shea( Loughquittane NS) will be on the girls team while Sean Lyne( Loreto NS) and Conor Moynihan( Loughquittane NS) will be on the boys selection. We will all be hoping Tipperary come out on top in their clash against the Deise men, if only to make it extra special for our four fine players to be lining out in the home of Kerry Football.
DEEPEST SYMPATHIES
The Club extends its sympathies to the family of Kathleen McAuliffe who passed away recently. Kathleen’s grandchildren Amy, Roisin, Laura and Cillian are all active juvenile members while son in law Ted Healy is one of our foremost members and officers in the club.
