Kerry U14 girls march on!!

JUNIOR CO.LEAGUE
Killarney Legion 1-8 Dingle 0-10
With the Seniors going through a hectic period on the Championship front the County Junior League afforded some of the fringe players an opportunity to show their wares. With 2 wins to date they have certainly grabbed their chanceand with Dingle coming to Derreen you are always assured of a tough challenge.A resolute defence marshalled by the evergreen Andy Sullivan gave rookie keeper Luke O Donoghue great protection and this allied to Luke’s pinpoint kickouts gave a very solid base for victory.Sean Mc Carthy offered great leadership in the engine room and supplied the forward line with plenty ammunition where the ageless Mike Sullivan dovetailed superbly with minor Ethan Fleming and it was fitting that Ethan supplied the match winning goal. This alongside Adam Moynihans accuracy saw the lads outscore Dingle 1-8 to 0-10.With 3 County Junior League titles in the last 4 years this grade has evolved into a launching pad for future senior players.Darragh O Doherty,Jack O Neill and Donal Lyne are just 3 examples of players who graduated to the first 15 via the Juniors.Given the mixture of youth and experience there’s plenty evidence to suggest that a continuation of this is very possible given some of the performances to date.
