Weekly Notes: A message from the Club Executive

The Executive Committee of the Killarney Legion GAA Club wish to thank all those who helped out in any way during 2016. We express our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors for their generous support throughout the year and we hope you will continue to support us in 2017. Your contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated and helps us to maintain our grounds and run our club.

We wish to thank all our voluntary workers, team mentors, office holders and field committee members, and also the people who help out with food, the shop and others too many to mention. What you do, giving so generously of your time and talent to help our youth, is a truly noble gesture and your enthusiasm is evident for all to see. We wish to thank you, our club members, for your contribution and hope you will continue to help and renew your membership.

To all our players and teams who donned the green and white so proudly during 2016, thank you for the fun and enjoyment you gave us. We have so many reasons to be proud of you.

We would invite anyone who might wish to contribute in a voluntary capacity for the coming year to contact any officer of the club. People can assist in so many different ways and anyone who does assist finds they get a true feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment from it.

To all the parents of our players we want to reassure you of our commitment to ensuring that your children are in the very best of care while with us. All of our mentors are Garda vetted and we always do our best to make sure that the children are enjoying themselves whether we win or lose.

So for 2017 the Executive Committee will be committed to doubling our efforts to continue to bring success and enjoyment to our club. We ask you to please pay your membership and attend as many games as you possibly can to lend your support to our players. Help out in any way you can.

Once again thank you all and God bless us all for 2017. We hope you have a healthy and happy year.

P.S. Our AGM is being held at our clubhouse in Derreen. We have many important and interesting items on the agenda. Please make an effort to attend on Friday, January 20th.
