With all Club officers signalling their intention to remain in situ for 2023 a reminder that Friday November 18th is the close of date for any motions or nominations you wish to bring to the table. You can contact Secretary Lara at secretary.legion.kerry@gaa.ie with the same.

U15 BOYS

Our lads finished off their year on a slightly disappointing note when they visited Kenmare for the East Kerry Division 1 semi final. The first half was an even enough affair with the hosts ahead by two points, 2-8 to 3-3. Unfortunately the second half didn’t go to plan as Kenmare grew stronger to qualify for the final where they will meet Dr Crokes. The lads competed in Division 1 in both County and District and will no doubt have learned a lot from the experience. The Club will strive to help them develop further as they progress through the ranks. Big thanks to the management team of Donal Culloty, John Keane, Nigel Shevlin and Donal Hegarty for their years work. Full time Score Killarney Legion 3-3 Kenmare 4-10.

U13 GIRLS DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP

Congratulations to Kate Fleming, Sophie Duke and Ali Bowler  who were all part of the East Kerry U13 side that captured the County District Championship title last Sunday, aptly in Direen. They defeated Mid Kerry on a 6-12 to 4-8 scoreline and included in the management team was Fergal Moynihan. Well done all!!

Special thanks to Sharon O Grady, Orla Culloty, Desiree Crowley for organising the room for the occasion and with the aid of their helpers Leah O Grady and Orianne McGillycuddy for the teas, coffees and sumptuous confectionery on offer.

CLUB COACHING OFFICER

The Club Executive has discussed the matter of appointing  a Club Coaching officer and it has been proposed that a sub committee be established to take up the running of engaging, researching and ultimately bringing forward someone with the purpose of selecting them for the role. More on this anon.
