Killarney Legion 0-11 Glenflesk 1-7
A nice mix of youth and experience for the junior side as they edged out Glenflesk in a close fought encounter in Derreen. The Legion had the better of matters in the first half and went in at the break leading 6pts.to 3.Glenflesk upped their game in the second half and hit an unanswered 1-1 in the early stages but this brought a good response from the Legion who replied with a series of points from Finbarr Murphy and young Mike Devlin to steady the ship.Adam Moynihan in goal had a sound game and indeed Darren Looney and Damien Lyne in the halfback line were solid throughout.A tit for tat run in saw the Legion edge out the contest by the minimum at the final whistle but no doubt they’ll benefit from the tight game and have the potential to develop into a very good side as they get more game time.
KERRY UP AND RUNNING
