CO.LEAGUE DIV.1
John Mitchels 0-12 Killarney Legion 3-12
The trip to the fabulous John Mitchels complex proved to be a fruitful one as the seniors turned in a fine performance to do the double on the Tralee teams in the division.Built on a tremendous first half display and buoyed by early goals from Conor Keane and Jack O Neill they played with purpose and at a fast pace which saw them run up a commanding 2-9 to 0-5 lead at the break. It was near on a faultless half for them with some great defending and creative running by the forwards. As was to be expected the home side started the second half in determined mode and registered 6 unanswered points to narrow the gap to just 4 pts.with 15 mins to go.The Legion needed to respond at that point and it took a lovely touch from Peter McCarthy when he slipped the neatest of passes to Conor Keane who backed himself to finish for his second goal of the game.Having steadied the ship they took control again and steered by Jamie O Sullivan at centre forward, who once again went through his repertoire of point kicking, added three more to give them a welcome win.One of the best scores of the day came from Damien O Sullivan who was soundness personified all day as he broke from the back and finished a lovely team move by driving over.No doubt the forwards have put in the work as their movement and work return was of the highest calibre with Peter McCarthy outstanding throughout.A huge contributing factor to the win was the input from Colm Ó Cúiv who hardly put a foot wrong in goal hitting his targets bang on every time.

EAST KERRY JUNIOR LEAGUE
Glenflesk 1-18 Killarney Legion 2-9
Having got the better of Glenflesk the week before the juniors travelled to Barradubh to meet them a second time but this time St.Agathas came out the victors. There wasn’t much in it for long periods but tiredness certainly crept in,however with several players returning to action after long lay offs and nine u20’s the more football and experience gained there is every reason to be hopeful for this group.
