U16 boys make East Kerry Decide

Killarney Legion 1-17 Firies 2-11
A hard fought win for the u16’s against a dogged Firies side in this East Kerry semi-final.A flying start by the Legion saw them race into a 5 pt.lead and it looked like they would pull away to a comfortable win.Firies settled to their task and promptly hit 1-2 to show that they were well in contention. This spurred the green and whites to up their game with an identical 1-2 of their own but once again Firies replied and by the break trailed by just a goal.Amazingly the second period was a mirror image of the first with the Legion jumping into a healthy lead and with Firies rallying again with another goal and flurry of points. However the Legion managed their game plan well and were worthy winners by a goal at the close of business to qualify for the final where they meet Kenmare Shamrocks.
An away game to St.Mary’s Cahirciveen saw the u12 girls return home after a fine win. They laid the foundation with a dominant first half display and in the end with all panel members getting game time made the long journey home in top spirits.Well done to all involved.
Heartiest congratulations to Ann and Seanie Culloty on the birth of their baby son Cillian.A tricky corner forward in waiting if genetics are anything to go by.
